InterestsDuring my training at Yale University, I had the exceptional experience of learning under the tutelage of specialists in Pediatric Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. Those experiences have been the foundation of my surgical passions today. After teaching in the Department of Otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, I came to Rhode Island in 1989 while my wife completed her residency in Dermatology at Brown University. Attracted to the friendliness of the people and the natural beauty of Narragansett Bay, we chose to stay in Rhode Island. Dr. Christu and I became partners while working at the former Harvard Pilgrim Health Care of New England (HCHP of NE). Dedicated to creating a full-service, extraordinary ENT experience for the patient, we formed Alliance ENT. We started that process in 2000 and continue to take steps towards reaching that goal. In the spirit of continuous learning from and giving to others, I have continued my interest in teaching young surgeons by instructing at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, the Boston University Medical Residency at Roger Williams Hospital and the Brown University School of Medicine. “Dr. Godley has always provided wonderful care of my daughter, son & myself with kindness, and find him to be proactive without being too aggressive (i.e. he does not recommend surgery unless it will truly benefit the child). Thanks for everything!” -Elisa DellaVentura
